Ever wanted to seriously use the Apple in-ear earbuds? You might have come to the same conclusion than I did some time ago already.
Apple describes in every detail what technical magic there is inside. In fact the sound is quite good and the price seems to be more and more justified because of this when you compare this to competitors. But: All this magic is nothing if you really want to start using the earbuds.
First, Apple-like the cable is not placed behind your neck. This leads to extremely annoying noise and interference when moving around outdoors. It's simply the cable that is rubbing against your shirt and because of the too elastic earbuds you clearly hear this like when somebody is playing on a barrel. And most of us are not able to walk completely synchronized to the beat of the music... Of course those kind of earbuds help to get a fuller bass sound but what is the prize? The moving noise also gets very bass intensive and ruins all your music and podcast enjoyment.
Second, you cannot put off the headphones for just a few moments when you need to, e.g. when you need to talk a few sentences to a person at the supermarket checkout.
Because of those 2 major issues the Apple in-ear headphones are simply unusable beside your sofa at home. Not even to think of using them at the gym...
How sad is that, Apple?
